Stafford Road

In November 2009 half of the Point Wines floorspace was excavated to make room for a new Wine and Tapas Bar. Stafford Road Wine Bar has since become a big hit with the local community and its symbiotic relationship with Point Wines adds a wealth of resource for both staff and product on both sides of the kitchen. Our continuously revised wine list provides a thoughtful and versatile range of carefully selected wines – most offered by the glass – and a menu that boasts some exquisitely presented, flavoursome tapas and small plates to share and enjoy. On top of this we offer two tap craft beers and 20 craft beers by the bottle.

For the interior of the bar, we deliberately preserved the old world, rustic character of this charming building built in 1911.

Plentiful outdoor sidewalk seating provides an opportunity to catch some afternoon sunshine and space heaters keep the area hospitable even in the depth of winter. The bar, with its distressed wall paper, mottled bronze and back-mirrors could easily be straight out of a Parisian cafe or trendy Harlem bar. Our Victorian fire place with hand-crafted plush leather furniture provides a cosy and inviting corner to meet with friends, colleagues, or partners for a glass of wine and some delicious sharing plates of food.

If you’d like to know more, then why not come along for a glass of wine or fine craft beer? Or alternatively, you can follow this link to the Stafford Road Wine Bar website. Whether it’s just yourself or you’re bringing a special someone (or ten), we’re more than happy to offer the key ingredients to a great night whether you’re having it in or out and delicious food to accompany it.
